Across California, educators are moving toward a treatment plan model grounded in evidence-based interventions, best practices, and time-limited strategies to support students with emotional and behavioral challenges. This approach is reshaping the educational landscape, and teachers are stepping up to meet it—but they can't do it alone. They need your expertise and guidance! Join us for this 2-hour overview to learn about the treatment model and discover how you can empower your staff and students for improved participation, behavioral progress and educational traction.

Intended Audience

School administrators, including superintendents, principals, program specialists. Others who may benefit include special education teachers, school psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSWs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFTs), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCCs), Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) staff or school counselors specifically designated to work with special needs students, behaviorists, and others who actively work with youth who have mental health concerns

Participants Will

  1. Understand the differences between behavioral planning and treatment planning.
  2. Understand the treatment model and the rationale for its components.
  3. Learn which components belong in classrooms and which team members collaborate for success.
  4. Understand the data needed to support your individualized educational plans (IEPs) and some legal considerations.
  5. Learn how you can help keep kids learning and participating while reducing office referrals, discipline and punishment procedures, and more!
